Classical Voice of Lucknow, an inter school classical music competition, the first of its kind in the city of Lucknow, was held on November 23, 2011 at Sant Gadge Auditorium, Gomtinagar, Lucknow.

It was the dedication, effort and enthusiasm of a small group of music lovers which made it possible to hold the programme.

The competition was held in 3 stages.

At the first stage, our colleagues , went from school to school auditioning keen students of classical music for the semi final rounds which were held on November 16-17, 2011 at Valmiki Rangshala,Gomtinagar. The semi finalists were judged by eminent persons in the field of music and the finalists were called to compete on November 23, 2011 at Sant Gadge Auditorium, Gomtinagar.

The finalists were also judged by a panel of 7 eminent judges.Swami Muktinathanandaji , President, Ram Krishna Mission, Lucknow , graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and kindly consented to give away the prizes.

मुझे यह जानकर अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हुई की हमारे प्रमुख शिष्य श्री मिलन देवनाथ ने ‘संगीत मिलन’ संस्था द्वारा लखनऊ के विद्यार्थियों के लिए संगीत प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया है . इससे संगीत के छात्रों में संगीत के प्रति उत्साह होगा, साथ ही साथ अभिरुचि भी बढेगी.
संगीत के प्रति इनकी समर्पित भावना सराहनीय है इनके अनेकों शिश्यगन भी हैं. इन्होने भातखंडे कृत ‘क्रमिक पुस्तक मालिका ‘ को विद्यार्थियों के हित में सस्ते मूल्यों में प्रकाशित भी किया है
हमे पूर्ण विश्वास है कि शास्त्रीय संगीत के प्रचार प्रसार हेतु भविष्य में ये सतत प्रयत्नशील रहकर प्रदेश स्तर पर प्रतियोगिता के माध्यम से संगीत का प्रचार करेंगे

मैं बन्ने खां आपके सामने कुछ विचार प्रकट करना चाहता हूँ मैं आज ९२ वर्ष का हो चूका हूँ मैंने अपना सारा जीवन संगीत में ही अर्पित कर दिया है मेरे अब जीवन में कुछ ही साल बचे हैं तो मैंने सोचा की कुछ विचार शास्त्रीय संगीत के बारे में पकात करूँ मैं आप सभी से यह बताना चाहता हूँ की आजकल शास्त्रीय संगीत धीरे धीरे ख़तम हो रहा है आज कल चल रहे रिअलिटी शो की वजह से बच्चे सिर्फ चकाचौंध में फसें हुए हैं वे शास्त्रीय संगीत को छोड़ कर फिल्न्य संगीत की ओउर ज्यादा भाग रहे हैं पहले लोग शास्त्रीय संगीत को सीखते थे और उसका अभ्यास करते थे उसे घंटों साधते थे पर अब ऐसा नहीं है संगीत एक साधना है जो साधने से ही मिलती है प्रिय मिलन के संगीत समर्पण और संगीत की प्रगति के लिए आप द्वारा समय समय पर किये जा रहे प्रयासों की मैं प्रशंसा करता हूँ आप द्वारा आयोजित क्लासिकल वौइस ऑफ़ लखनऊ एक ऐसा प्रयास है जो शास्त्रीय संगीत की प्रतिभाओं को एक ऐसा मंच प्रदान कर रहा है जिसमे हर उम्र के लोग भाग ले कर अपनी प्रतिभा को जनमानस के समक्ष प्रस्तुत कर सकेंगे
